1. Abdominal pains


Def: Abdominal pain is an acute sensation related to pain that can be felt anywhere between chest and groin. It is popularly known as belly or stomach and its surrounding region.

Treatment: In case the abdominal pain are a result of Constipation then Isapgula and Mint tea is a very effective helpful. The Isapgula husk is to be taken with a glass of warm milk before sleep and mint tea drank during the day. The bowel movement is normalized and relief from abdominal pain will be achieved.

2. Anemia

Def: Derived from the Greek, meaning “without blood,” anemia is a deficiency of red blood cells and/or hemoglobin.
Treatment: Stinging nettle (leaves, flowers) and chamomile tea - tincture, juice, infusion. Take 15 ml of juice every day or an infusion made with fresh herb.             

Recommended Supplements:
Folate: Supplements are required by those deficient and women trying to pregnant.
Dosage: 800–1,200 mcg daily.

3. “Aortic-Regurgitation”

Definition: Aortic Regurgitation or aortic insufficiency is known as the condition in which aortic valve located in the heart does not close totally. This results in reverse flow of the blood in the left ventricle through the aorta.

4. Anorexia

5. Ascites

6. Acidity


Definition: Acidity or heat burn happens due to formation of additional acid in the stomach that irritates the gastrointestinal covering.

Treatment 1: Tamarind fruit pulp is extracted and softened in water, then add cloves, cardamom and black pepper to the water and make it palatable. Acidity caused by improper food intake will be immediately relieved.

Treatment 2: Coriander leaves form a universal taste improver in most of the Indian culinary. Its digestive properties have not been fully appreciated. Patients suffering from acidity can take buttermilk with two three tablespoons of coriander leaves and alkalise the acidity immediately. Dry powder of coriander can be made into a paste ground with water and taken to get relief from acidity.

7. Acne


Definition: Acne is a widespread form of skin disorder distinguished by pimples and clogged pores. Before we get into herbal treatments, let the reader be informed that the first step in fighting acne is drinking at least 10 glasses of water daily.

8. Allergic-Rhinitis


Definition: Allergic rhinitis, more commonly referred to as hay fever, is an inflammation of the nasal passages caused by allergic reaction to airborne substances.

Treatment 1: Mustard oil extracted from seeds using the expeller in pure form improves the immunity of the patient greatly. Mustard oil is a great decongestant and will clear away the mucous and other congestions leading to blockage and breathing problems. A piercing burning sensation will be felt when you apply the oil to the insides of the nostrils. Leave the same for a few minutes and take deep breath as convenient.

Treatment 2: Sandalum, cardamom and licorice boiled in water (ratio 1:4) until reduced to quarter of the initial quantity. Couple of teaspoons daily.

9. Alzheimer’s disease


Definition: Alzheimer’s disease is described as degenerative brain disorder that leads to memory impairment and improper mental functioning. It has an effect on person’s mood, memory and behavior.

Treatment 1: Tea: 2 to 4 grams of lemon balm herb, several times daily Tincture: 2 to 3 mL (40 to 90 drops), 3 times daily, or the equivalent in fluid extract or encapsulated form note: the appropriate dose of lemon balm for children would be 1/3 of this dosage.

10. Amebiasis


Definition: Amebiasis is a type of infection that is caused by the microscopic parasite named “Entamoeba hystolytica”

Treatment 1: Chaparro Amargo is the best herb for Amebiasis. The Amebiasis sufferers must take 30 drops of chaparro amargo with water in the morning and 30 drops before the last meal of the day, for seven days straight. After taking a seven day break from the treatment, it is resumed for seven days. Some mild cramping may be felt; this means that the amoebas are dying and will be expelled from the body.

Treatment 2: Amebiasis in the initial stages can be cured by inducing total clean up of the digestive tract. This is performed by intake of a limited quantity of Castor oil. Raw castor oil is a very powerful laxative and will clean the cysts as well as the developed bacteria out of the body system. 11. Anal-Fissure


Definition: Abnormal crack or slit in the anus stretching from the opening in anal region and to its midline. They are known as anal fissures and are generally shallow. Blood may be found on the toilet area or outside the stool.

13. Arteriosclerosis


Treatment 1: Drink 1 cup of hawthorn tea or 20-30 drops hawthorn tincture in water daily, with 3-5 drops of calendula tincture in a glass of water daily.

14. Arthritis


Definition: Arthritis is a disorder that includes swelling of joints along with breaking of cartilages. The function of cartilage is to protect the joints and enable smooth working of the joints.

Treatment 1: Boswellia, an Ayurvedic medicine, has been investigated for its effects on arthritis. A double blind study using Boswellia found a beneficial effect on pain and stiffness, as well as improved joint function. It showed no negative effects in this study. The herb has a unique anti-inflammatory action, much like the conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). But unlike NSAIDs, long-term use of boswellia is generally considered safe and does not lead to irritation or ulceration of the stomach. Dosage: Take  400-800 mg of extract in capsules or tablets three times per day. 

Treatment 2: Chinese thoroughwax (Bupleuri falcatum) Bupleuri root is an important component in various prescriptions in Chinese traditional medicine, particularly in remedies for inflammatory conditions. Bupleuri has been shown to enhance the activity of glucocorticoids. 

Treatment 3: Arthiritis has known to be cured using the herbal extract of Turpeth. The juice of the leaves of Turpeth have wonderful curing powers. A small dose of 3-4 grams has to be taken regularly for a six month period to ensure complete releif from joint pains and stiffness.

15. Asthma


Definition: It is a breathing disorder caused by inflammation of the airways. It is recognized by shortness of breath, regular attacks of wheezing accompanied with cough.

Treatment 1: In Ayurveda, the bark of Arjuna is considered beneficial in the treatment of Asthma. According to this system, a fine powder of the bark is made and stored in a well-corked bottle. The patient suffering from asthma should keep fast on the day of the full moon. A dish of condensed milk and rice (kheer) should he prepared and placed where the moonlight falls upon it the whole night. During the early hours, 12 grams of the powdered bark should be sprinkled over the kheer and taken by the patient to his satisfaction. He should not sleep for at least 12 hours after consumption; which will provide instant relief.

Treatment 2: Lobelia is a powerful anti-spasmodic and is the most powerful herb for relaxing the bronchial tubes and airway during an attack. A quality lobelia tincture is a more powerful anti-spasmodic than any asthma drug.

Treatment 3: The main use of ephedra is in the treatment of asthma, particularly bronchial asthma. The powder of the herb in doses ranging from 0.5 to 2.0 grams should be swallowed with water in such symptoms. It will give immediate relief by facilitating unrestricted discharge of the accumulated phlegm and clearance of the air passage, followed by restful sleep.

Treatment 4: Mullein Verbascum densiflorum - Mullein is an old-time remedy for bronchitis and dry, unproductive coughs. The leaves and flowers are used to reduce mucous and expel phlegm. Mullein is valued for its ability to loosen mucus and move it out of the body making it a valuable ally for lung problems. Mullein has also been used to treat lymphatic congestion and as an anti-spasmodic and astringent herb.
